American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA)

Academy of Learning Career College’s hospitality program uses the Educational Institute (EI) of the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s curriculum.  AH&LA has been a leader in the hospitality industry and is the sole national association representing all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry.  This includes hotel property members, hotel companies, student and faculty members, and industry suppliers.

Canadian Payroll Association

The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), founded in 1978, is the national association representing the payroll community in Canada.  The CPA is considered by the Canadian payroll community as the authoritative source of payroll knowledge.

Academy of Learning Career College has established a relationship with the CPA in order to incorporate the payroll specific courses into the diploma and certificate programs.  Payroll specific courses offered at Academy of Learning Career College include Payroll Fundamentals 1, Payroll Fundamentals 2, and Payroll Compliance Legislation.  Students who complete either the Payroll Administrator or Payroll Supervisor program with Academy of Learning are prepared to apply to the CPA for the Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification.

Carson Dunlop

Established in 1978, Carson Dunlop is one of the largest independent home inspection firms in North America.  Academy of Learning Career College has partnered with Carson Dunlop to deliver the home inspection program across Canada.  Carson Dunlop is regarded as the industry standard in home inspection courseware as well as providing inspection-related products and services.

Vital English

Vital English designs and distributes English Language teaching and learning solutions globally. They now have one of the largest product ranges of any online English Language Training provider in the market.  Over the last number of years, Vital English has developed a wide range of ESL courses, from low beginner to advanced.

At Academy of Learning Career College, students can choose from three English programs to study: English Success! General; English for Secific Purpose or IELTS.

Since 1963 PLATO Learning, provider of our upgrading materials, has been a leading provider of education technology solutions for kindergarten to adult learners, offering curricula in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and life and job skills.  Since 1999 alone, PLATO Learning has garnered over 85 awards for its coursework and learning technologies.

Canadian Trucking Human Resource Council (CTHRC)

The CTHRC provides our Dispatcher training materials.  As a National Sector Council, the CTHRC addresses a large range of industry issues linked to technological change, quality standards, training and human resources in the Industry.



Career Colleges Ontario(CCO)

OACC Proud MemberCCO is a non-profit organization established in 1973, originally named the Private Career Education Council and then the Ontario Association of Career Colleges(OACC). The Association’s purpose is to ensure that private career colleges have a voice with the Ontario provincial government.

CCO has over 270 current members, with membership growing each month.

CCO members contribute to the economy of Ontario by providing almost 63,000 graduates annually in hundreds of essential, skilled fields such as I.T., Business, Hairstying, Police Foundations and Healthcare to name just a few.


National Association of Career Colleges(NACC)

Since the 1800’s career colleges have been an integral part of the Canadian educational landscape.


Established in 1896, the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) continues to serve its members and support students of career colleges.  NACC acts as an umbrella organization for its affiliated provincial career college associations.  All NACC members meet the highest regulatory standards, ensuring the best possible education for their students.






Ontario Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development

All Career Colleges in Ontario must be registered with the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.  The Ministry regulates everything from program approval to site inspections and ensuring students are informed and making informed decisions about their college and program choice.  The Kingston campus of Academy of Learning Career College has been registered with the Ministry since February of 1990, longer than any other private college, making us the senior career college in the greater Kingston area.

Ontario Ministry of Education

The Kingston, Ontario campus of Academy of Learning Career College is registered as a Private School with the Ontario Ministry of Education.  The Ministry of Education provides to potential consumers a list of private elementary and secondary schools that operate in Ontario.  All private schools that wish to operate in Ontario are legally obliged to register with the Ministry of Education and to provide the ministry with annual statistical reports.



National American University

Academy of Learning Career College has an agreement with National American University (NAU) to provide Associate and Bachelor Degree completion opportunities for its graduates. Founded in 1941 in Rapid City, South Dakota, NAU has expanded to 34 locations throughout the central United States, offering both traditional instructor-led and online delivery. As one of the first to offer fully online degree programs since 1996, NAU Online continues to serve students at a global level.

University of Phoenix

Academy of Learning Career College students can transfer their courses towards University of Phoenix undergraduate degree programs. Founded in 1976, University of Phoenix is North America’s largest private, accredited university. With over 140 campuses and learning centres in the U.S., the University of Phoenix offers programs exclusively designed to meet the needs of working adults.

University of Windsor

In November 1996, Academy of Learning Career College entered into an innovative collaboration with the University of Windsor. Graduates of select Academy of Learning diploma programs will receive advanced credit if they wish to continue their education at the University of Windsor. This partnership is just one more way Academy of Learning Career College strives to make life-long learning rewarding and viable for people of all ages and levels of expertise.
